Dr. Lobonc is an established NCSA leader and has previously served as Secretary and Treasurer of the NCSA, as well as a member of multiple NCSA subcommittees.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"337\" data-end=\"800\">As NCSA President, Dr. Lobonc&#8217;s year-long role will involve oversight of initiatives that address key issues facing anesthesiologists statewide, including quality improvement, workforce development, legislative engagement, and advocacy for anesthesiologist-led patient care \u2014 a central focus of the society. His appointment signals a continued emphasis by the NCSA on integrating clinical excellence with leadership in professional advocacy. Dr. Lobonc will additionally serve as a lead advocate for anesthesiology practices statewide, supporting the anesthesiology professionals network across N.C. that connects clinicians with policymaking and anesthesia care CME opportunities.\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-24028 size-full alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/anesthesiology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/470\/2015\/01\/Andrew-Andy-Lobonc-e1771361555569.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"244\" \/><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2225\" data-end=\"2387\">Dr. Lobonc: &#8220;<span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">I am honored to introduce myself as President of the North Carolina Society of Anesthesiologists for the coming year.
