IAMSE Webinar Series – “Back to the Future: Maximizing Student Learning and Wellbeing in the Virtual Age”

September 16, 2021 @ 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

The Office of Medical Education has subscribed to the webinar series “Back to the Future: Maximizing Student Learning and Wellbeing in the Virtual Age” (schedule below). These are sponsored by IAMSE (the Int’l Ass’n of Medical Science Educators who sponsors the journal Medical Science Educator). Unlike the past when we purchased one subscription so that we could gather in a room together to view these, we now have an institutional subscription so that you can view from your various locations and access recordings and other documents afterwards.

IAMSE sends out the log-in information on the morning of the seminar (which is a little late for easy communication to a large group). If you wish to be part of an email list to receive the log-in information on Thursday mornings and if you wish to have these placed in your Outlook calendars, please add your name to this…

Please email aoe@med.unc.edu to confirm your attendance after each event, as these events are non directly hosted by the AOE.

Many of you have attended IAMSE meetings or have published in Medical Science Educator. In my opinion, this is the premiere med ed group. The attendees at the annual meetings are course directors, clerkship directors, and teaching faculty from all basic science and clinical areas, and the discussions are much more focused on education in the trenches compared to the sessions at the AAMC meeting.
