Resident Webinar – Stress First Aid Webinar for Residents and Fellows

Our Department of Psychiatry has put together lots of resources to help our clinicians deal with the stresses we all currently face. This is being deployed all over UNC Health. The leaders will target a presentation specifically to you, residents and fellows, this Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at 10:00 AM – 9:00 AM.
Drs. Echo Meyer, PhD and Mary Beth Prieur, PhD from the Department of Psychiatry will be presenting Stress First Aid, a model designed to prevent stress reactions from leading to mental health problems. We encourage you to use strategies from the model when providing support to colleagues and thinking about your own well-being.
Stress First Aid Training is designed to help:
- provide compassionate assistance
- prevent the progression of stress reactions
- bridge affected individuals to more formal treatment when that is required
