Save the date and register for the workshop “Educational Theories that will Change Your Practice – A 90 minute Workshop” with Christina Shenvi, MD, PhD, FACEP on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 from 12:00 – 1:30PM (90 minutes) in Bondurant G010.
After this session, participants will be able to:
- Explain the major tenets of behaviorism, cognitivism, and constructivism.
- Understand how to apply the concepts of adult learning theory to their next course or teaching session.
- Understand how self-worth theory explains why learners (and teachers!) make excuses and procrastinate, and how to avoid this in their own lives.
- Understand the Master Adaptive Learner model and how to apply it in their teaching.
