She then returned to North Carolina and worked at the UNC Internal Medicine clinic as a Diabetes Care Assistant before going on to receive a Master\u2019s degree at Wake Forest University to become a Physician Assistant. She has worked in adult primary care since 2011 and six years ago joined the faculty at UNC in the new Physician Assistant Program.
