These awards are designed to honor and recognize the contributions of our exceptional APPs.\u202fEach award highlights a unique aspect of excellence.\u202f The seven award categories include:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/app\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/767\/2026\/05\/2026-APP-Award-Categories.pdf\">2026 APP Award Categories<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellence in Clinical Practice<\/li>\n<li>Excellence in Leadership (Formal Leader)<\/li>\n<li>Excellence in Leadership (Informal Leader)<\/li>\n<li>Excellence in Teaching<\/li>\n<li>Unsung Hero<\/li>\n<li>Outstanding New Teammate<\/li>\n<li>Physician Partner in Excellence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We encourage you to participate by nominating your deserving colleagues.\u00a0Nominations will be open from June 1\u00a0to June 30.\u00a0We welcome and encourage nominations from our teammates, including APPs, physicians, staff, administrators, etc. We ask that you coordinate with colleagues to submit nominations for deserving individuals. Including insights from teammates across different disciplines provides valuable perspective.<\/p>\n<p>Nominations can be submitted by clicking the button above, using <a href=\"https:\/\/unc.az1.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_6R7qlipa6IOShZI\"><strong>this link.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The nominations will be reviewed and selected by our APP Selection Committee. \u00a0Please take time to nominate your colleagues and help us honor them for their contributions and outstanding work.\u00a0To learn more about each award, please see the award categories below or viewing the list of questions on the that will be on the Nomination Form <a href=\"https:\/\/unchcs.sharepoint.com\/:b:\/r\/sites\/MCAPPCenter\/2025%20APP%20Awards\/2026%20APP%20Excellence%20Awards%20Nomination%20Form%20Questions%20.pdf?csf=1&amp;web=1&amp;e=CxYt7B\">here.<\/a> More information is also below.<strong>\u00a0Please disseminate this information to your networks!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility for Awards:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Any Advanced Practice Provider (APP) credentialed through UNC Health at UNC Medical Center (Certified Anesthesiology Assistant, Certified Nurse Midwife, Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant)<\/li>\n<li>Physicians at the same entities are eligible for the Partner in Excellence award.<\/li>\n<li>Part-time or full-time<\/li>\n<li>Previous award winners are ineligible the following year in their awarded category but remain eligible in other categories.
