OVC distributes money deposited into the Fund directly to states to support state compensation and assistance services for victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, drunk driving, homicide, and other crimes. ~The Office for Victims of Crime<\/p>\n<h4><a title=\"Crime Victim's Compensation\" href=\"http:\/\/victimsofcrime.org\/help-for-crime-victims\/get-help-bulletins-for-crime-victims\/crime-victim-compensation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The National Center for Victims of Crime<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>Crime victim compensation is a government program to reimburse victims of violent crimes- such as assault, homicide, rape, and, in some states, burglary &#8211; as well as their families for many of their out-of-pocket expenses.
