CLark,<\/strong> a student in the Department of English and Comparative Literature, is the recipient of the 2018 McLendon-Thomas Award.<\/p>\n Michael presented his winning essay \u201cThe Fabrica, the Epitome, and Issues of Accessibility in Early Modern Anatomy<\/strong>,\u201d\u00a0at the Bullitt Club meeting on February 26, 2019.<\/p>\n Angela Ning,<\/strong> a student in the School of Medicine, is the recipient of the 2016 McLendon-Thomas Award.<\/p>\n Angela presented her winning essay, \u201cChristine Jorgensen: Moving Forward through Action, Not Words<\/strong>,\u201dat the Bullitt Club meeting on April 18, 2017.<\/p>\n Scott Nelson,<\/strong> who graduated from UNC with a BA in History in 2015, is the recipient of the 2015 McLendon-Thomas Award.<\/p>\n Scott\u2019s presented his winning essay, \u201cSnatching Bodies, Making Doctors: Stealing black corpses for medical education in the nineteenth- and early twentieth-century American South<\/strong>,\u201d\u00a0at the Bullitt Club meeting on April 12, 2016.<\/p>\n John Runge, <\/b>PhD student in Genetics and Molecular Biology, is the recipient of the 2014 McLendon-Thomas Award.<\/b><\/p>\n John presented his winning essay, “Character Trials: Managing Epidemic Disease in the 19th Century American South,<\/strong>” at the Bullitt Club meeting on March 24, 2015.<\/p>\n Sarah Frush<\/b> and Christopher Jensen<\/b>, MD students in the UNC School of Medicine, are co-recipients of the fifth annual McLendon-Thomas Award.<\/p>\n Sarah\u2019s winning essay is entitled, \u201cHarmel\u2019s Happenstance: the First Blalock-Taussig Shunt and the Beginnings of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n Chris presented his winning essay, \u201c\u2018And Polio Was a Nightmare\u2019: Polio, UNC-Chapel Hill, and the North Carolina Memorial Hospital\u201d <\/b>at the Bullitt Club meeting on April 7, 2015.<\/p>\n Chailee Mann-Stadt<\/b>, MD student in the UNC School of Medicine, was the recipient of the third annual McLendon-Thomas Award.<\/p>\n Chailee presented her winning essay, \u201cDrs.
