9th Annual Oliver Smithies Nobel Laureate Symposium

On behalf of the School of Medicine and the Postdoctoral Organizing Committee, we are very excited to announce that registration is now open for the 9^th Annual Oliver Smithies Nobel Laureate Symposium that will be held virtually on Friday, September 11, 2020. This year we are hosting Dr. William Moerner, recipient of the 2014 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

Please inform your units about these two exciting events on September 11^th:

• Dr. Moerner will participate in a panel discussion at 1:00pm entitled “Being an Effective Expert When Expertise is Refused” (The other panelists are Drs. Kathleen Gray, David Martinez, and Francesca Tripodi)
• Dr. Moerner will present his keynote lecture at 3:30pm “The Story of Light and Single Molecules: From Early FM Spectroscopy in Solids, to Super-Resolution Nanoscopy in Cells and Beyond”

Registration is required for these events, and please visit the Oliver Smithies Nobel Laureate Symposium Website for registration information and more information about the events. Importantly, up to 20 postdocs will be able to participate in a virtual meet-and-greet with Dr. Moerner. This requires an additional registration.
