January 10, 2023 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Douglas Kojetin, Associate Professor at the University of Florida

Our first speaker of the 2023 Spring semester on Tuesday, January 10th will be Dr. Douglas Kojetin hosted by Qi Zhang. The title of his seminar is “Nuclear receptor function made crystal clear with NMR spectroscopy.”

Dr. Kojetin has a B. S. in Chemistry with a focus on Biochemistry from Purdue University and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from North Carolina State University. He is currently an Associate Professor, Skaggs Graduate program at Scripps Research and Associate Professor, University of Florida Scripps Biomedical Research in the Department of Integrative Structural and Computational Biology (primary appointment) and the Department of Molecular Medicine (joint appointment). Beginning in March 2023, he will be Associate Professor at Vanderbilt University in the Vanderbilt Center for Structural Biology and Vanderbilt Institute of Chemical Biology. Dr. Kojetin’s research utilizes structural biology, biochemical, biophysical, chemical biology, and cellular/molecular pharmacology methods to explore structure-function mechanisms of nuclear (hormone) receptor transcription factors.
