BLACK MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS panel discussion Stigma-free Carolina

November 2, 2020 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Stigma-free Carolina redifining mental health. Whether an illness affects your heart, your leg, your brain, it's still an illness and there should be no distinction. Michelle Obama, Stigma-free Carolina presents BLACK MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS. Mental Health in the black community. Zoom on Nov. 2 at 5 pm registration required. See text for link details.

A new panel discussion Stigma-free Carolina is having this year on the status of mental health within the Black community. With 2020 leaving an indelible mark on all of us no doubt, it has disproportionately affected the Black community with higher rates of COVID-19, while highlighting already present wounds that are just now receiving widespread national attention, such as systemic racism. One topic that has gone largely unaddressed is the level of stigma present within the Black community concerning mental health. I invite you all to join us for a conversation with a great set of panelists on mental health in the Black community next Monday, November 2 from 5:00PM to 6:30 PM.
