University Week

Enjoy four 15 minute presentations by this year’s recipients of the Phillip and
Ruth Hettleman Prizes for Scholarly Achievement. The talks will provide an
engaging look into these distinguished young scholars’ work in the fields of
Chinese studies, public health, molecular, cellular, & developmental biology,
and biomedical sciences.

Kavita Singh Ongechi, Associate Professor, Maternal and Child Health Department, Gillings School of Global Public Health, “Maternal and Child Heath: A Human Rights Perspective”

Li Qian, Associate Professor, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Department, “Following Tinman: A Journey to Mend a Broken Heart”

Greg Wang, Associate Professor, Biochemistry and Biophysics Department, “Understanding Chromatin for Cancer Therapy”
