Town Hall for T32 & Fellowship Awardees

You may have heard that there will be a big change in how your stipend will be paid if you are supported by a T32 or have a fellowship award. The university is moving the management of T32 support and fellowship awards to the financial aid system, which means that you will now be paid your T32 or Fellowship stipend through GradStar.

GradStar currently is set to pay a lump sum to cover the 5 months of the Fall semester, another to cover the 5 months of the Spring semester, and a third to cover the 2 months of summer. We realize this is a big change and are working very hard behind the scenes to make it so you can get paid monthly, but it will not happen this year.

To help you navigate these changes, we will be holding a Town Hall (zoom details below) on Thursday, June 17, from 9-10 amto inform you about the changes and how they will affect you, as well give you a forum to ask questions. Jean Cook, Donita Robinson, and I will be moderating the Town Hall, and we will have Amanda Chang from the Office of Sponsored Research (and others) to help make sure you get accurate information.

We will also provide you with University and community resources for Tax planning and Financial Aid.
