Congratulations to Dr. Henrik Dohlman, Professor & Vice-Chair of Biochemistry & Biophysics, who was elected as a 2011 AAAS fellow.

Dr. Henrik Dohlman is Vice Chair and Professor of Biochemistry and Biophysics and also Professor of Pharmacology. Research in his lab is centered on G proteins and G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). Dr. Dohlman is being awarded distinction as an AAAS fellow for his contributions in innovative experimental approaches and discovery of RGS proteins which transformed the fields of molecular pharmacology as well as yeast microbiology.

Election as a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the world’s largest general scientific society, is an honor bestowed upon members by their peers. Fellows are recognized for meritorious efforts to advance science or its applications. At the 2011 AAAS Fellows induction ceremony on February 18, 2012 (held in Vancouver, British Columbia), Dr. Dohlman will be presented with his Fellowship Rosette and Certificate.
