Dr. Shobhan Gaddameedhi, postdoctoral fellow in Aziz Sancar’s lab, is one of six recipients of a NC TraCS $2K Pilot Program.

The North Carolina Translational and Clinical Sciences (NC TraCS) Institute is pleased to announce awardees of the thirty-ninth cycle of TraCS $2K grants for clinical and translational research projects. 6 applications were chosen for funding, from the UNC-CH Schools of Medicine, Pharmacy and Public Health, and College of Arts & Sciences.

Dr. Gaddameedhi’s project is titled “Circadian Oscillation of XPA Expression in Human Hair Follicles” and he is collaborating on this project with Dr. Nancy Thomas in the Department of Dermatology. He currently trains as a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Aziz Sancar, Distinguished Professor of Biochemistry & Biophysics.
