The Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics is launching BCBP Page One, a new trainee lightning talk series designed to highlight recently published, trainee-led research across the department.
The inaugural event will take place from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, following the departmental Bagel Wednesday gathering.
The first session will feature three trainee speakers: Zhichuan Zhu from Pengda Liu’s lab, Waqas Ahmed from Guochun Jiang’s lab, and Or Szekely from Qi Zhang’s lab.
Each Page One event will include brief, informal talks on recently published papers, accepted manuscripts, or posted preprints. The series aims to celebrate trainee accomplishments, encourage scientific exchange, and increase awareness of exciting research happening across Biochemistry and Biophysics department.
BCBP Page One will continue every other month. Faculty and trainees are encouraged to submit nominations or self-nominations on a rolling basis for future events.
