The UNC Lineberger Equity Council is seeking more trainees (i.e. predoctoral fellows, postdoctoral fellows and medical fellows) who would like to serve on the Council. The Council was formed to develop UNC Lineberger’s diversity, equity and inclusion recommendations, oversee implementation efforts and provide a mechanism for ongoing accountability.
While there is a broad range of UNC Lineberger stakeholders represented, from faculty to staff to patient advocates, we have limited representation from our trainee population. The time commitment is one monthly 2-hour Council meeting and 2-3 hours per month of subcommittee work. We also want trainees who have at least 2.5 years left in of training to ensure continuity on the Council.
