Research
STEMM Higher Education
The Pittman Teaching Lab evaluates and implements effective methods in STEMM (science, technology, engineering, math, medicine) training. We are “scientists partnering with scientists” to build supportive learning communities in higher education. Our goal is to impact multiple levels, including undergraduate, graduate, and postdoc.
To strengthen STEMM training pathways, we:
- Assess existing practices in STEMM higher education
- Develop new learning activities and programs
- Facilitate peer teaching, discussion, and hands-on learning
- Integrate student voices during the design process
