Her focus includes enzyme regulation, carbohydrate metabolism, and lipid metabolism. Both are asynchronous courses, with the lab and lecture offered online. These entry-level classes survey General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry. Mentored teaching experiences build skills in assignment grading, exam writing, lesson planning, and online lecturing. Positions are available in undergrad courses during the fall and spring (either for partial or full semesters).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Goals for mentoring and teaching:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Increase \u201ctraining in teaching\u201d in School of Medicine<\/li>\n<li>Implement active learning in UNC classrooms<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate student-instructor interactions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"bs-callout bs-callout-info\">\n<p><em>\u201cOur team supports students from all walks of life, including those interested in health careers, those who are non-majors, and everything in between.
