    RESEARCH<\/span><\/h3>\n
    While earlier in my career I did bench research, co-authoring eight publications, my interests now focus on effectively managing three laboratories in the department. I see each lab as a kind of high-powered small business whose goals are the training of a highly skilled workforce and the production and publication of knowledge. The support of these enterprises gives rise to many interesting business-related decisions. To be more effective I am taking a range of business and accounting classes, currently completing my eleventh in the summer of 2015.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
