Julia DiFiore, under the direction of Dr. Brian Strahl<\/b><\/a>, successfully defended her dissertation on March 13, 2020 and received her PhD!<\/p>\n

\n

The title of her dissertation is \u201cExamining the Biological Functions of the H3K36 Methylation States in Transcription Regulation and the Post-Translational Modification Landscape of Set2.\u201d<\/p>\n

While at UNC, Julia was also active in outreach and service through volunteering with DNA Day, mentoring undergraduates in the lab, and writing for The Pipettepen.<\/a><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
After graduation, Julia will start as a Medical Writing Fellow at Impact Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. in Durham, NC.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
