prestigious national fellowship competition.\u00a0 Alex is now in the running for the Howard Hughes Medical Institute <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hhmi.org\/science-education\/programs\/gilliam-fellowships-advanced-study\">Gilliam Fellowships for Advanced Study<\/a>.\u00a0 She is a terrific candidate with a strong background in research and leadership.\u00a0 We hope HHMI is able to recognize Alex\u2019s accomplishments and provide her future opportunities for continued development by awarding her with his
