Rhonda Strickland<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Rhonda Brann Strickland <\/strong>joined the department on September 20, 2021 as the executive assistant to Brian Strahl, Ph.D., Interim Chair of Biochemistry and Biophysics and Chair of Faculty.<\/p>\n

Rhonda is a lifelong resident of Hurdle Mills, NC, about 30 minutes north of Chapel Hill. She received her bachelor\u2019s degree in Marketing and Business Management from North Carolina State University in May, 1985. After graduating from college, she held various administrative positions at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC for 10 years. After the birth of her first daughter, she wanted to be closer to her and became office manager at a newly established OB\/GYN practice in Roxboro. She remained in that practice for nine years until the managing physician relocated. For the past 16 years she has proudly served as Executive Administrative Assistant at Piedmont Community College. Since her two girls are now grown, she has decided on a career change and is now happy to be a part of the UNC family and share her unique and creative talents. Rhonda has been a certified N.C. Notary Public Instructor for the past seven years and is an Adjunct Instructor at Alamance Community College and Piedmont Community College. In her free time, Rhonda enjoys spending time with her family, frequent trips to Atlantic Beach, NC, and an occasional mountain adventure. She also enjoys Jazzercise, shopping, decorating, and planning cookouts and family dinners.<\/p>\n
