Marzluff, Jean G. Cook, Brian A. Kuhlman) ranked in the top 110 most highly funded NIH investigators in 2021. Of special note is that Ronald Swanstrom ranked 3rd among all principal investigators in Biochemistry for total NIH dollars. We are proud of our faculty for their hard work and accomplishments!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Blue Ridge Institute for Medical Research (BRIMR.ORG) rankings<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/biochem\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/795\/2022\/07\/Biochemistry_2021.xls\">Biochemistry_2021<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/biochem\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/795\/2022\/07\/BiochemistryPI_20211.xls\">BiochemistryPI_2021<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Rankings for 2022 are published in February 2023.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Department ranks fifth among all Biochemistry departments in the US, (both public and private institutions not just public) in 2021.
