Dillon Sloan, NIH Fellow (F31) National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research for his project entitled “Molecular mechanism of CCDC32 in Cardiofacioneurodevelopmental syndrome.” Dillon also has a fellowship with the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.<\/span><\/p>\n

Anna Wheless<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Anna Wheless, National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program<\/span> for her project \u201cViewing a Lipase Through Two Lenses to Resolve the Mysteries of Lipid Metabolism.\u201d In 2022, Anna also received an NC TraCS $2,000 Pilot grant for cataloging and analyzing the effects of LPL gene therapy on mouse livers in the hopes of developing a basis for further clinical development in the Neher lab.<\/span><\/p>\n

External fellowships, which are highly competitive awards from the federal government and other organizations, add to Carolina\u2019s reputation as one of the world\u2019s leading public research universities.
