Or even specialized peptide libraries? \u2014 The UNC High Throughput Peptide Synthesis and Array Facility can help!<\/p>\n<div class=\"image-section\">\n<figure class=\"thumbnail wp-caption alignright\">\n    <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium size-full wp-image-4022\" src=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/biochem\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/795\/2018\/07\/open-for-business-unc-high-throughput-peptide-synthesis-and-array-facility-image2.jpeg\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" alt=\"image2\"\/><figcaption class=\"caption wp-caption-text\">\n    <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; \">The UNC High Throughput Peptide Synthesis and Array Facility offers researchers with high quality services for synthesis, purification, and characterization of synthetic peptides and preparation of custom designed peptide arrays.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; \">This new core facility uses automated Fmoc <b>S<\/b>olid <b>P<\/b>hase <b>P<\/b>eptide <b>S<\/b>ynthesis (<b>SPPS<\/b>) to make synthetic peptides, particularly specializing in synthesis of multiply modified peptides containing PTMs, unnatural amino acids, and fluorescent tags. They have the capability to synthesize mid size libraries of crude peptides (~100 peptides in 2-3 weeks) and can print peptide microarrays (up to 4000 spots per slide) from synthesized peptides.
