Congratulations to David Allison, postdoctoral fellow in the Greg Wang lab who is the recipient of a fellowship from Debbie\u2019s Dream Foundation.<\/p>\n

David Allison has been awarded a one year $50,000 fellowship by Debbie\u2019s Dream Foundation<\/a> which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about stomach cancer, advancing funding for research, and providing education and support internationally to patients, families, and caregivers.<\/p>\n

Dr. Allison will be studying the contribution of the polycomb repressive complex (PRC2) towards gastric cancer progression. He is a postdoctoral fellow in the Greg Wang Lab.<\/a> The lab studies how dysregulation of epigenetic factors drives inappropriate gene expression and subsequent tumorigenesis. Specifically, his project establishes the PRC2 complex as a viable target for chemotherapeutic inhibition in the treatment of gastric malignancies. <\/p>\n
