She later focused her role on communications and development and she is leaving the department now after primarily managing the pre-award functions of grants and contracts for the last year. She has worked closely with all department members from faculty on recruitment, promotions, space, and grants management; students and postdocs on infrastructure needs, fellowships, seminars and events; staff and leadership on several administrative and development projects.<\/p>\n<p>Amanda will join the UNC Office of Sponsored Research as their new assistant director of operations. She will work with the central office to manage the training, communications, and systems needs for sponsored research on campus. We will all miss Amanda greatly, but we wish her the best of luck in her new position!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><!-- description --> <\/p>\n<p
