Pincus, a distinguished physiologist. The Pincus Award is given each year by FASEB to a graduate or postdoctoral trainee to help defray expenses of attending a scientific meeting. This year Dr. Judith Bond, President of FASEB selected Dr. Rothbart to be the recipient of the travel award in the amount of $1000 for his attendance at the AACR Special Conference in Chromatin and Epigenetics in Cancer to be held in June 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Rothbart is currently a postdoctoral fellow training in the lab of Dr. Brian Strahl, associate professor of Biochemistry and Biophysics. Dr. Rothbart\u2019s research focuses on the regulation of chromatin-templated biological processes by the \u2018histone code\u2019. Particularly, he is interested in the biochemistry and biology of a chromatin-interacting protein, UHRF1, as a bridging molecule at the interface of histone post-translational modifications and DNA
