They allow for one to two years of mentored postdoctoral research followed by up to three years of independent research provided the researcher is on a path to tenure at his or her institution. Both Drs. Varma and Gaddameedhi will begin their independent projects this September 2013 and funding will run through August 2018. Dr. Varma\u2019s project is titled \u201cRole of the Ndc80 loop domain and Cdt1 in kinetochore microtubule attachments\u201d and Dr. Gaddameedhi\u2019s \u201cRole of the circadian clock in melanocyte
