The program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines who are pursuing research-based master\u2019s and doctoral degrees at accredited US institutions.<\/p>\n<p>Cassandra Hayne is currently a student training in the lab of Dr. Saskia Neher, Assistant Professor of Biochemistry and Biophysics. Her research project is titled \u201cRegulation of LPL Activity Through Changes in Oligomeric State.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rebecca Pollet is currently a student training in the lab of Dr. Matthew Redinbo, Professor of Chemistry. Her research project is titled \u201cCharacterization of the potential ATPase TraE, essential for conjugative DNA transfer in Staphylococcus aureus plasmid pSK41.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Both of the proposals
