In 2016, the Department secured 14.96 million in federal funding and ranks 8th.<\/p>\n<div id=\"content-area\">\n<div class=\"plain\" id=\"parent-fieldname-text\">\n<p><span>We received over $14.96 million in funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in 2016. According to the Blue Ridge Institute for Medical Research (BRIMR), this ranks us eighth among all Biochemistry departments and if considering just public institutions, that would make us the 4th highest NIH funded biochemistry program. We are proud of our faculty for their hard work and accomplishments!
