Student Accomplishments:

Proyecto Puentes de Salud – student run organization aiming to address health care inequalities by serving as a “health bridge” between underserved Latino communities—both in North Carolina and in Mexico—and needed health services. Learn more here

Farmworker Student Health Alliance – student run organization aiming to improve health outcomes for North Carolina farmworkers through collaboration with UNC medical students, the Comprehensive Advanced Medical Program of Spanish (CAMPOS), the North Carolina Farmworkers Health Program and migrant farmworkers. Learn more here

Both of the above programs were started by CAMPOS students, and demonstrate the involvement of our students in the global and local community.

Student Research – CAMPOS student Sebastian Werner published a paper in the Harvard Medical Student Review detailing how immigration policies affect the health of Latinx citizen children.
