Thank you for your interest in our program. UNC has implemented a new program for entering into biological & biomedical graduate studies called the Biological and Biomedical Sciences Program (BBSP). This program will act as a common portal by which students interested in any of 12 participating graduate programs, including Cell and Molecular Physiology, begin their graduate studies at UNC.
BBSP students will have the freedom to choose coursework and rotations from any of the participating programs. At the end of the first year, students will select a thesis lab and join the PhD program where they will complete their doctoral studies. This program is intended to offer maximum flexibility to first year students in their choices of coursework and rotations.
The application and admission process is conducted through the BBSP program.
If you have questions about our graduate program please feel free to contact the Director of Graduate Studies, Dr. Ellie Tzima.
