September 2012 - Richard Weinberg receives new funding from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke

September 2012 - Professor Richard Weinberg received a five-year R01 grant totaling $1.5 million dollars from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS). The grant will fund the study of the supramolecular organization of proteins at the postsynaptic density of neurons in rodent hippocampus, to better understand their role in signal transduction, and to explore how mutations in synaptic proteins implicated in neuropsychiatric disease may disrupt postsynaptic structure. Assistant Professor Alain Burette is co-investigator on this award.
