In the representation above of a frog motor neuron cell body (side view), the height (z-axis) of the cell body is expressed as a percent of the height in the center of the cell body (C). The mean percent \u00b1 S.D.s of the height measured at opposite ends of the cell body (A and B) in a total of 120 isolated motor neurons, relative to the center of the cell, varied less than 3% from the center of the cell body.
