July 2012 \u2013 Sarah Kenan Graham Professor Kay Lund<\/a> received a new, five-year R01 grant totalling $1.5 million dollars from the National Institute on Aging<\/a>. The grant will study the impact of aging, insulin and insulin-like growth factor signaling on intestinal stem cells and their ability to repair and regenerate the intestinal epithelium after radiation.
