The Council is the governing body of the Society. SfRBM, established in 1987, is a professional organization comprised of scientists and clinicians investigating redox biology, a unifying theme in the pathophysiology of human diseases. The society promotes the study of the chemistry and biochemistry of reactive species and their consequences in biology and medicine, and the transfer of basic knowledge to the health professions.
