Seen in the photo are Royce, Kurt Gilliland, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asn-online.org\/foundation\/bio-wesson.aspx\">Dr. Michael Zollicoffer<\/a> (MD, UNC, 1985). Michael&#8217;s father was the 4th black medical student at UNC. The lecture and banquet are intended to increase the awareness of minority health issues and introduce the student body to dynamic minority role models in the field of medicine.
