The Center for Environmental Medicine is committed to accountability as we endeavor to break some of the barriers that prevent equity and inclusion in the work environment. We strive to embrace diversity, equity and inclusive excellence through our actions, our policies and our culture. We value inclusion as a core strength and an essential element of our mission as we facilitate understanding, compassion, and empathy towards others.

As we move forward, the Center for Environmental Medicine, Asthma and Lung Biology is committed to improving communication, while implementing a plan of action designed to achieve our overall aim.  This includes, but is not limited to, regular monthly meetings on specific topics/activities related to anti-racism, bias, and inclusion. This plan of action aims to make our center welcoming for individual uniqueness and to foster a culture of inclusion that supports both broad and specific diversity initiatives. We want to engage all individuals to help them thrive for success.
