Take a look at our MI in Action feature this week, from the University of Alabama at Birmingham:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/cfar\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1380\/2025\/09\/tumblr_inline_nmtxelkSoo1t6dtej_540.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Carol Golin<\/strong>, MD, Associate Professor of Medicine, UNC Chapel Hill and <strong>Steve Bradley-Bull<\/strong>, MEd, LPC, Motivational Interviewing Specialist, UNC Chapel Hill, recently conducted a Motivational Interviewing booster training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham for a project called <a href=\"http:\/\/t.umblr.com\/redirect?z=https%3A%2F%2Fclinicaltrials.gov%2Fct2%2Fshow%2FNCT01900236&amp;t=Yzg4ZTQxYjI2ZTU0M2FmMTAwN2E5ZjcxMjczYTI3MDZlZGI1MzAzMCx1ZElTSWp5RA%3D%3D&amp;b=t%3AIMa368j_7mqhYRQzpf7oOw&amp;p=http%3A%2F%2Funcmotivationalinterviewing.tumblr.com%2Fpost%2F116441327026%2Fmi-in-action-university-of-alabama-birmingham&amp;m=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">iEngage<\/a>. This project focuses on helps individuals who are newly enrolled in HIV care in adhering to HIV medication and staying in care. The training included clinicians from 4 sites across the United States, from Seattle, Washington to Baltimore, Maryland.<\/p>\n<p>The training\u2019s priority was to review Motivational Interviewing skills and to discuss the successes and challenges of using them in their sessions.
