She takes over this role from Dr. Suzanne Maman, who was recently named chair of the health behavior department. Dr. Go&#8217;s research exists at the intersection of HIV and mental health conditions, opioid use and stigma among key populations, with a focus on scaling up evidence\u2011based interventions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Go\u2019s career has included more than two decades of leadership in Vietnam, where she co\u2011established UNC\u2011Vietnam, a research site with more than 30 full\u2011time staff who conduct large clinical and behavioral trials. The site is now one of the IGHID flagship international hubs and a Clinical Research Site within the UNC Clinical Trials Unit. Researchers there contribute to studies on HIV treatment, prevention, cure and co\u2011infections, including the ongoing ACTG trials on TB prevention and treatment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>\u201cVivian brings a deep and extensive track record of building international partnerships, conducting high-impact research in collaboration with global partners and creating meaningful learning opportunities for students through these engagements.
