HIV Care 2019, UNC’s annual state-wide HIV symposium, is scheduled for Monday May 6, at the William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education. From the Greensboro AHEC’s\u00a0event page<\/a>,<\/p>\n

The purpose of this symposium is to provide health care providers with an update on the care and treatment of HIV infected patients who are now living longer lives. Specifically, topics included will address: special health issues for women, STDs and syphilis, rapid ART, oral health, retention models, resistance and comorbidities, resilience, risk reduction strategies and new emerging therapies. There will be a separate and second track for case managers, allied health professionals, psychologists and substance abuse counselors who care for HIV infected patients.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
