DESCRIPTION:Dr. Ophelia Venturelli is an Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Duke University. The Venturelli lab aims to understand and engineer microbiomes and host-microbiome interactions for applications spanning human health\, built environment and agriculture. Specifically\, we combine high-throughput experiments\, synthetic biology\, computational modeling and multi-objective optimization to discover control knobs in the microbiome and design precision interventions that can steer these systems to desired states. \n
