DESCRIPTION:“ Gut microbiota dysbiosis in infection and IBD: from iron to new therapies ”  \nAndre G. Buret\, PhD\nProfessor\nDepartments of Biologicals Sciences\, Physiology and Pharmacology\nAssociate Vice-President Research\nUniversity of Calgary \nDr. Buret’s research: Similar inflammatory\, immunologic\, and pathophysiologic events characterize disease processes at mucosal sites such as the intestine and the lung. Critical issues to this   research area include understanding the role of immune cells and mediators\, and the role of cell death\, in the production of disease.
