January 14, 2021 – Ben Kaplan, MPH, UNC CHER student associate and fourth-year medical student at the UNC School of Medicine recently published an op-ed in the Annals of Family Medicine journal. In the article, Ben describes the role of telehealth in increasing healthcare access to communities that have historically faced barriers to healthcare. Ben states, “telehealth may continue to be a valuable tool for mitigating socioeconomic barriers and expanding access to health care in the coming years.”
