Dr. Vece is a pediatric pulmonologist with research interests in rare lung disease and genetic immune deficiencies with pulmonary involvement. He has served as the clinical expert on many translational research teams, including research for familial pulmonary hemorrhage and investigations of the microbiome of the lungs and upper GI tract. Currently, he is focusing on immune-based lung diseases in children and the immune system effects of Childhood interstitial lung disease (chILD) and primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD). He is conducting clinical and descriptive research on rare lung disorders and is a member of the children\u2019s diffuse and interstitial lung disease research network.
