In her leadership role with the CRI she directs the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/childrensresearch\/research\/clinical-trials\/\" target=\"_blank\">CRI \u2013 Pediatric Clinical Research Unit <\/a>and spearheads community outreach and community-based research development. \u200b<\/p>\n<p>Her leadership focus for the CRI includes:\u200b<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Developing, promoting, and overseeing the UNC PedsCRU <\/li>\n<li>Building an expanding network of sites and community-based partners to enable us to bring pediatric research to the diverse communities where children live across NC (and beyond!) \u2013 ensuring all children and families engage, inform, and be represented in the research that will affect them.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting partnership between researchers and community members to promote research, community engagement and dissemination of research results to the community. <\/li>\n<li>Coordinating with other career and professional development programs at UNC in partnership with other CRI leadership to strategically target opportunities for our early-stage investigators.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/myncbi\/michelle.hernandez.2\/bibliography\/public\/\">Dr. Hernandez&#8217;s Publications<\/a><\/p>\n<hr class=\"  osc-rule\" \/>\n<p> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-3783\" src=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/childrensresearch\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/967\/2025\/01\/keet-240x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"300\" \/><b>Corinne Keet, MD, PhD<\/b><br \/>\nAssociate Scientific Director <\/p>\n<p>Dr. Keet is the UNC Department of Pediatrics\u2019 Vice Chair of Clinical and Translational Research, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/pediatrics\/research\/carolina-child-health-scholars-program\/\" target=\"_blank\">Co-Director of the Carolina Child Health Scholars program<\/a>, and a leader within the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/pediatrics\/foodallergy\/\" target=\"_blank\">UNC Food Allergy Initiative<\/a> and the Division of Allergy &amp; Immunology.
