{"id":11,"date":"2024-01-24T09:19:48","date_gmt":"2024-01-24T14:19:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/cidd\/clinical-services\/"},"modified":"2025-07-11T17:02:49","modified_gmt":"2025-07-11T21:02:49","slug":"clinical-services","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/cidd\/clinical-services\/","title":{"rendered":"Clinical Services"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities (CIDD) is part of the UNC School of Medicine and is an interdisciplinary center that offers outpatient services to individuals of all ages who have or are suspected of having a developmental disability.<\/p>\n<div class=\"row  oscitas-bootstrap-container\">\n<div class=\"col-lg-6 col-md-12 col-xs-12 col-sm-12 oscitas-bootstrap-container\">\n<p>Our faculty includes professionals from disciplines such as Audiology, Medicine, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, Speech-Language Pathology, and more. There may be extended wait times for your appointment to be scheduled due to the volume of requests we receive. We thank you for your patience and encourage you to speak with your referring provider or local managed care organization (MCO) to discuss additional options for time-sensitive evaluation or service needs. Appropriate referrals to our center are ones that focus on questions related to a possible or preexisting developmental disability.
