Mission:

The Christian Medical and Dental Association (CMDA) was founded by medical students as a vehicle for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer. Today, CMDA sponsors student chapters at two-thirds of the nation’s medical and dental schools. Bonded by a common faith, we are advancing Christian values in our profession and society, integrating our personal faith and professional practice, and using our skills to serve others in need.

UNC Medical Fellowship:

The UNC medical and dental chapters support small groups, Bible studies, brown bag lunches with guest speakers, regular social events, a mentorship program, and monthly dinners with the Triangle Christian Medical Fellowship. We also work to build relationships between Christian students and faculty members. Through this ministry, we seek to build lasting relationships within the medical and dental schools and encourage each other as we grow in our faith and pursue our passions.

We welcome students from other health professions schools at UNC to get involved with our ministry.

UNC and Duke CMDA chapters join with other area health students and professionals to enjoy a monthly dinner and speaker at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. These events are sponsored by the Triangle Christian Medical Fellowship and provide the opportunity for fellowship, worship, and learning. All are invited to come with family and friends to enjoy great food, fellowship, and fun!
